The third edition of the Omani-Italian Friendship Championship for the Skeet Shooting was concluded today, under the patronage of Brigadier Badr bin Nasser Al Kharousi, Director General of Joint Military Intelligence and Preventive Security at the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces.
The tournament, which was held in the fields of the International Shooting Unit, witnessed a lot of excitement and competition, in addition to achieving many new records in its various competitions, which varied between the trap team competition at the individual level men, the trap team competition at the individual level for women, and the skeet team competition. at the team level men, the mixed trap team competition, the skeet competition at the individual level men, the skeet competition at the team level, the skeet competition at the individual level women and the mixed skeet competition.
This competition comes within the as part of the efforts exerted to enhance the levels of efficiency and hone the skills of the national team’s shooters to compete in various regional and international tournaments. The holding of this tournament also embodies the extent of the close cooperation that links the Omani and Italian federations in various sports fields, which achieves integration, blending and exchange of experiences between the participating teams.
The Omani Shooting Federation has achieved many honourable achievements at the individual and team levels during its participation in regional and international competitions.
The occasion was attended by a number of senior officers and staff officers of the Sultan's Armed Forces, other military and security agencies, and the Italian Naval and Air Defence Attaché.
