The football tournament between the Sultan of Oman Artillery units in the Royal Army of Oman concluded today, under the patronage of Brigadier Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director General of Supplies and Housing of the Royal Army of Oman.
The final match, which was held in Izki Camp of the Sultan of Oman Artillery, brought together the 4th Battalion Air Defence team with the 1st Battalion team, and the match ended with the victory of the 4th Battalion Air Defence team of the Sultan of Oman Artillery and crowned as champion of the competition. The match witnessed a high-level performance, and reflected the technical capabilities of the players of both teams.
At the individual level in the tournament: Lance Corporal Hamad bin Mahmoud Al-Hashimi from the 4th Air Defence Battalion of the Sultan of Oman Artillery won the Best Player Award, Warrant officer 2 Saif bin Saeed Al Ghasini from the 3rd Middle Battalion won the Tournament’s Top Scorer Title, and Sergeant Ghaleb bin Ali Al Abri from the 4th Air Defence Battalion won the Best Goalkeeper Award in the tournament.
In conclusion, the Director General of Supplies and Housing, the patron of the occasion, handed over cups and prizes to the teams and players who won advanced positions in the tournament.
