The Royal Army of Oman Futsal Championship for the year 2024 concluded today, under the patronage of Brigadier Saeed bin Mohammed Al Shukaili, Acting Commander of the Royal Army of Oman.
The final match, which was held in the gymnasium of the Royal Army of Oman in Al Murtafaa Camp, brought together the Sultan’s Armed Forces Transports team and the 11th Infantry Brigade command team. The match witnessed a high and equal technical level, as the original time of the match ended with the two teams tied with a score of three goals each, before the two teams resorted to the Penalty kicks. The decision was decided by the 11th Infantry Brigade team in his favour.
At the end, the patron of the occasion handed over cups and prizes to those who achieved advanced positions. The 11th Infantry Brigade team came in first place, achieving the championship cup. The Sultan’s Armed Forces Transports team came in second place, and the Sultan of Oman’s Artillery team took third place. In the individual results, 2nd Lieutenant Bel Arab bin Hamoud Al Habsi won the Best Goalkeeper Award, Lieutenant Muhammad bin Salem Al Battashi won the Best Player Award, and 2nd Lieutenant Muhammad Bin Hamid Al Ghafri won the tournament's Top Scorer Award.
