His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, bestowed the Oman Military Order (2nd Class) on Major General Felix Gidney, the Senior British Loan Service Officer.
The Order was presented by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, when he received the Senior British Loan Service Officer at His Highness office on 24th of January to bid farewell on the end of his work duties.
His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs thanked the Senior British Loan Service Officer for the efforts he made to strengthen bilateral relations between the Sultanate and the United Kingdom, wishing him continued success. For his part, the Senior British Loan Service Officer praised the strength of the relations between the two friendly countries. He also expressed his pride and appreciation for the cooperation he received during his work in the Sultanate of Oman.
The honouring ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense, and Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al-Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces.
