The swimming championship between the directorates, battalions and units of the Royal Guard of Oman for the year 2023 concluded yesterday, at the Olympic swimming pool in the (Amaan) camp of the Royal Guard of Oman, under the patronage of the civil officer Saeed bin Hamad bin Juma Al Malki, Director General of Finance of the Royal Guard of Oman.
At the end of the qualifications the chief guest honored the referees and those in charge of the tournament, and also handed over cups and prizes to the winners, the results were as follows:
The Support Battalion achieved first place at the overall level of the tournament, the Fifth Battalion took second place, and the Second Battalion came in third place.
At the individual level of the officer’s category in the (50-meter freestyle) competition, Lieutenant Walid bin Saeed Al Falahi came in first place, and Captain Khaled bin Ali Al Masrouri took second place. Civilian officer Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Awfi won third place.
In the 100-meter freestyle competition, Private Khalid bin Darwish Al-Shezawi won first place, Sergeant Mohsen bin Muhammad Al-Wahaibi won second place, while Private Abdullah bin Saif Al-Saadi came in third place. In the (50-meter individual backstroke) competition, Sergeant Omar bin Humaid Al-Mujaini came in first place, Deputy Corporal Zakaria bin Saeed Al-Nasiri achieved second place, and Deputy Corporal Hareb bin Hilal Al-Buraiki took third place. On the group competition level, the first battalion team achieved the first place in the (4 x 50-meter freestyle race), the Support Battalion team came in second place, and the Signal Battalion team came in third place.
The occasion was attended by a number of senior officers and a number of members of the Royal Guard of Oman.
