The Military Discipline Program Starts in Dhofar Governorate




  General Supervisor of the Military Discipline Program: “The Program Aims to Develop Awareness, Instill Values, and Enhance the Leadership Spirit of the Program Participants.” Director of the Youth Programs Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth: “The Program Seeks to Prepare a Leadership Generation of Promising Omani Youth Characterized by Discipline, Responsibility, Belonging to the Homeland, Loyalty to the Leader, and Respect for Laws and Regulations.” School activities specialist of the Ministry of Education: “Implementing the military discipline program for this age group of school students reflects the government’s interest in the youth group.” A Participating student in the program: “Through this program, I Seek to Acquire Many Skills and Gain Access to Different Sciences.” Today, the activities of the Military Discipline Program began in Dhofar Governorate, which is supervised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, a number of military and security apparatus, and a number of other relevant government institutions. The program began with a briefing for the participants in which it reviewed the activities, events, the most important training, awareness and educational aspects, and the comprehensive lecture program that will be included in the program. The programme which continues until the twenty-fourth of next July, will also include practical applications in military infantry, weapons, physical fitness classes, and a number of related lectures. The first week's program will include a number of lectures on military control and communication, first aid, teamwork, leadership methods, narcotics drugs and psychotropic substances, in addition to a lecture on military sciences, another on nutrition and its effects on physical fitness, and two workshops entitled Citizenship and Belonging and Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship Business . In this regard, moral guidance and military ceremonies interviewed a number of those concerned with the military discipline program, where Wing Commander Hussein bin Muhammad Al-Ajmi, from the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces ,general supervisor of the program.said: “ The military discipline program aims to develop awareness, instill values, and enhance the leadership spirit of the participants in the program, in order to raise generations that carry love of the homeland and loyalty to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq the Supreme Commander - may God protect him - and contribute to building the personality of the participant, cognitively and behaviorally. The Military Discipline Program also aims to consolidate the values of teamwork and military discipline, refine the personality of the participants, and enhance Their self-confidence, and how to invest young people’s free time in a way that protects them from various risks.” The Director of the Youth Programs Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Mr. Faris bin Muhammad Al-Awfi,said: “ The Military Discipline Program comes as a translation of the sublime vision of the Sultan of the country, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq the Great - may God protect and preserve him - which was included in Oman Vision 2040 , and it fully confirms the keenness of the government in all its agencies and sectors to create and prepare a leadership generation of promising Omani youth characterized by discipline, responsibility, belonging to the homeland, and loyalty to the leader, respecting laws and regulations, and adhering to religious and behavioral virtues and values, with the participation of ( 700 ) young men from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman as a sample to be evaluated, studied,from all aspects, which will push other initiatives in the future Mr. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Badri, a school activities specialist from the Ministry of Education, added: “ Implementing the military discipline program for this age group of school students reflects the government’s interest in the youth group to teach them discipline and organization in all the affairs of their lives, as it develops the national and psychological aspects in addition to military training which enhances their physical endurance, he added we hope that at the end of this program, the students will transfer the knowledge they have acquired to their peers in the school and local community and spread the culture of patriotism.” Student Saeed bin Salem Al-Shuaili, a participant in the program , said : “ The military discipline program is an opportunity to learn about military life, through which I will gain some knowledge and skills that develop the religious, moral, and military aspects. I will strive to make the most of it and gain various sciences from this program.” Student Sultan bin Munif Al-Mashli, a participant in the program, said: “ Through this program, I seek to instill the values of citizenship and acquire many skills, including commitment to time and instilling the spirit of good citizenship.
