The Military Technological College Hosts the 2024 FISU World University Championships Cross Country




  The Military Technological College is organizing the FISU World University (cross-country track) Championships during the period (from 17th to 18th) of this month, in cooperation with the International University Sports Federation, the Oman Committee for University Sports, and the National University of Science and Technology. In addition to hosting and organizing the tournament, the Military Technological College participated with several players as part of the National University Sports Team, in the first phase of the tournament, which began yesterday with the short relay and the long relay races with the participation of (159) competitors and (60) Coaches representing (21) countries from different parts of the world. The Military Technological College also participated in the exhibition accompanying the event, with many projects, innovations, and creative ideas of the college’s students. The exhibition also has several sections aimed to introduce the visitors from the various countries participating in the tournament to the tourist sites and cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman. It is worth noting that the cross-country competition, which was held this year in the Sports Complex at the Military Technology College, is organized every two years under the supervision of the International University Sports Federation. In conclusion, Air commodore Engineer Mohammed bin Aziz Al Siyabi, Dean of the Military Technological College, along with the President of the Oman Committee for University Sports and the President of the International University Sports Federation, honoured the winning teams in the competitions of the first day of the tournament.
