Pace Sticking Championship in UK

 

The Pace Sticking Championship was concluded at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) on Thursday 26th June 2014. The ceremony was under the auspices of the Deputy Commandant of RMAS.

A team of the Sultan's Armed Forces Training Regiment (SAFTR) at the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) participated in the Pace Sticking Championship with the participation of teams from various countries of the world. Kingdom of Bahrain Team won the first and second place, while SAFTR Team won the third and fourth place. At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest distributed prizes to the competition's top places.

RAO team participated for the second time in this championship. The team was looking forward to gain more experiences in the field of military infantry as well as representing the Sultanate of Oman in all national and international events.

The ceremony was attended by Colonel (Psc) Salim bin Mohammed Al Abri – Deputy Commander of SAFTR, Lieut. Colonel (Psc) Humaid bin Mussabah Al Kalbani, Head of RAO participated team, a number of commissioned, non-commissioned officers and personnel at RMAS.
